Who?
Phoenix Lazerus Inc. is run by Dr. Paul Krasner and his sons Stephan and Parker. Dr. Krasner has been a leader in the field of endodontic surgery for the past 30 years and has pioneered many techniques that are now textbook procedures. Dr. Krasner created Save-A-Tooth® in 1989 when he realized that there was no way of effectively saving avulsed teeth. Now twenty years later Phoenix Lazerus Inc. is determined in its quest to save knocked out teeth and provide the best possible products to achieve that goal.
Mission Statement
The goal of our company is to give factual information about knocked out teeth. It’s hard to find this kind of information even on National Dental Websites. All the information we present comes from good dental textbooks or the latest research that we’ve read and is intended to help people understand dental injuries and their consequences; The consequences of knocked out teeth can last a lifetime so the choices made should be based on fact not rumor. Our ultimate goal is to have everyone prepared with a Save-A-Tooth® so that should the accident occur these teeth can be saved for life.
History
Prior to 1966, 90% of all reimplanted knocked out teeth failed. In 1966, dental research from Dr. Jens Andreasen showed that most of these teeth failed if they were not reimplanted within the first thirty minutes of the accident. Later research showed that knocked out teeth could be stored in an appropriate fluid that could extend the storage time to twenty-four hours giving a much better chance of success following reimplantation. Thus the Save-A-Tooth® system was born. When the product was first designed many attempts were made to partner with larger companies for production and distribution. these attempts ended in disappointment. The company almost faded out of existence but with the help of family, friends and fans of the product, Phoenix-Lazerus, Inc. came into existence. We started manufacturing, and distributing the product right from our living room. We are now the largest producer of tooth preserving systems in the world and have thousands of customers worldwide including professional sports teams like the NFL, NBA, and olympic team training bags since 1992.
